From the tobacco laden countryside of Wilson, North Carolina on August 25, 1974 Mother Linda P. Bowser and the Late Bishop W. E. Bowser gave birth to the 2nd of their 4 children and named him Braxton D. Bowser.  It was in their quaint loving home that Pastor Bowser was raised to love God, love His word and love Gods people.  At the age 7 after an angelic visitation Pastor Bowser accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and at 18 years old he accepted the call to preach the gospel and shortly after ministered his first sermon entitled “Out of the Night and Into the Morning!”

 

Pastor Bowser is a 1997 graduate of Saint Augustine’s University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and worked for 9 years as a substance abuse counselor and family therapist.  During his undergraduate matriculation Pastor Bowser’s life was changed forever when he met his “Island Queen” the former Kimberly T. Hutcheson.  On June the 12th 1999 on a beautiful sunny morning in Nassau Bahamas they were united in marriage and from this union God has blessed them with 3 wonderful children Braxton Jr., Christopher William, and Tiara Nicole.

 

In 2005 Pastor Bowser along with his wife and family obeyed the call of God to establish the Agape International Church of God in Christ in the thriving town of Knightdale, North Carolina. For almost two decades Pastor Bowser faithfully served his spiritual father and mentor Bishop Stenneth E. Powell Sr., and in 2014 Bishop Powell installed him as Superintendent of the Triangle District in the North Carolina 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, and in 2015 he was elevated as Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. 

From humble beginnings God has anointed Superintendent Braxton D. Bowser Sr., as an evangelist, pastor, prophetic preacher, teacher, and song writer however when asked about his life’s purpose Superintendent stated, “I believe that God has called me for such as time as this to win the lost, assist his people in realizing and fulfilling their purpose.  My passion is to build His Kingdom, nullify the plans and strategies of the enemy and see God’s people healed in every facet of their lives and I will do it with every ounce of my strength!”
